I was in the local diner the other day waiting for my order (1/2 lb. Angus beef patty, with cheese and mushrooms--Keto diet) and some gal (we're on a major highway bisecting the state that gets lots of out of state travelers--they're not hard to pick out) across the aisle saw my John Deere cap and asked me, "Oh, are you a farmer?".
I replied that I was and then she ask if I was a vegetarian too. I said, "Hale no. I raise Angus beef cattle for hamburger and steaks."
Well, you'd have thought I poisoned her. She got all huffy and turned back to her booth and friends, not wanting to be very friendly anymore. She would rather have died than to eat any meat. Some liberal from up north somewhere.
