I just copy and paste what you indicated - "praise from FBI for NYPD SVU" - into a search engine then take it from there.

There's an item stating the Manhattan DA asked for a subpoena same time as SDNY.
Manhattan DA would get the go\no go from NYPD. I actually went down that road thinking I could back into a name from NYPD off the subpoena affidavit and I found no subpoena for Manahattan DA.

They could have gotten the info from where the Weiner investigation started - the ACS.(Administration for Children’s Services) rather than NYPD.

I'm going to put this on the shelf again.
We have too much good stuff going on right this minute to be massage this old stuff...besides, it's my white whale.
