There is an excellent French film titled Army of Shadows that is about composite figures (middle aged adults) in the French Resistance.
The Last Days of Sophie Scholl is an excellent German film about actual young adults who resisted the Nazis in Germany.
...maybe it is ham-handedness,but linkee no workee...
at least for me....
The Last Days of Sophie Scholl is available on Amazon Prime.
Sophie and her brother both tried by the nazi psychopath in the Peoples Court, judge Roland Friesler. For passing out leaflets. Sentence, death by guillotine (used in early nazi days).
The story of die Weisse Rose, White Rose who tried for one year to urge resistance to the nazis. These were anti-socialists (though some texts call them commies, they were not- they were college students and a professor. And nothing like the little snips who ARE actual socialists and all in favor of stifling conservative speech).
Whenever I read about the Vichy French delivering up their high school kids to the Nazis, it recalls to my mind names like Romney and Flake and Goldberg and Will....
“Carcajous !”
Sadly, I have a hard time imagining many young people today resisting an invasion of our country.
Thats why they play Call of Duty!
