BREAKING: Epicenter of coronavirus outbreak reports 2,147 new cases and 81 new deaths.

I was reading an article speculating that orientals were more susceptible to the virus, just like with SARS, and that the effects are more deadly than when blacks or caucasians are infected. Is this a possible reason we havent seen a spike in cases yet in the rest the of the world. Of the 12 US cases are any black or white?
That is worth watching. Wow. Can you imagine that happening in Cambridge MA?
Guessing Lackland was chosen because there’s one of the few level 4 biosafety labs in the US down the street. Cant remember how many beds back during Ebola but less than a couple dozen. The monkey lab is right down the road the other direction. Poor monkeys are likely getting injected with coronavirus as we speak.
I tried to find out vacancy dates at the Gateway Inn last week but no luck. Even the extra hotel rooms are right there. Yeah, its not out in the boonies.
In case anyone missed it. Shanghai government confirm coronavirus is aerosolized (different than droplets or airborne)
Shanghai officials reveal novel coronavirus transmission modes Confirmed transmission routes of the novel coronavirus include direct transmission, contact transmission and ***aerosol transmission*** a Shanghai official said on Saturday.

This confirms what a CDC official told the daughter of an American couple on the quarantined Japanese cruise ship.
This also confirms other news reports:
Catching it within 15 seconds near an infected person
The incredibly fast spread on cruise ships
One infected person in a building, they lock the whole building down
Man catching it from infected person one apartment below
Large scale disinfection trucks, now N. Korea doing the same
The high level hazmat suit the people bringing the American expatriates home
The article about the virus being deep lung which is why it gets missed in tests of the upper respiratory tracts
The difference between airborne and aerosolized:
Airborne Droplet Droplets (greater than 5 um)
Remain only shortly in air (less than 17 min) [116].
Dispersed over short distances (less than 1 m).
Short range transmission.
Direct inoculation of naïve person through coughing/sneezing/breathing of infected person.
Deposition mainly on mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract.
Aerosol
Aerosols, droplet nuclei (less than 5 um),
Remain in air for an almost infinite amount of time.
Dispersed over long distances (greater than 1 m).

I was reading studies that it is the aerosol parts of viruses that get sucked way deep in the lung that makes it so bad - which is what we see with the Wuhan virus.
Other reports though might have shown that the aerosol viruses don't last that long - although they admitted that the way they detected them (on a paper filter) might have “killed” them - the paper sucks the moisture out of the cell and they aren't viable anymore.
Its all new to me. I never thought the surgical masks were going to do much, honestly.
Oh, another news item that this explains, the aerosolized virus upon flushing toilets one doctor/specialist was describing.
I think the most interesting news I read was it has an upto 9 day survival rate on selected smooth surfaces.
So much for Princeton students “self-isolating”...if they are in dorms with shared HVAC (and they don’t have strong UV-C lights in the ducts to kill things going by)...
ty
Well, *that’s* torn it.
Also fits the list residents were given the other day, one of the items was to shut down central heat/air systems.
Problem is when you breath out the moisture in your breath makes the mask damp.
I know, right? So, obviously the CDC knows this already, so what gives? Are they seriously going to just let this thing run rampant? Why the recommendation of no masks? I sure would like to know what they know.
Sen Tom Cotton said at the hearing the other day that it was airborne. Hes been sounding the alarm all week.
“Can you imagine that happening in Cambridge MA?”
Only for thought-crimes.
I have to say though, that this might be effective.
Good gosh
===>Frank Plummer Canadian Scientist Key To Coronavirus Investigation Assassinated In Africa?

FTA:
In a very strange turn of events, renowned scientist Frank Plummer who received Saudi SARS Coronavirus sample and was working on Coronavirus (HIV) vaccine in the GreatGameIndia investigation, has died in mysterious conditions. Frank Plummer was the key to the Chinese Biological Espionage case at Winnipegs National Microbiology Laboratory.
Might be effective if they turn off central air/heat.
Imagine the budget at the CDC next year.
And they know THEY will get experimental drugs if they come down with this. The rest of us? maybe, maybe not if they run out.
UPDATE: China’s National Health Commission reports 441 new cases of coronavirus and 7 new deaths, adding to the 2,147 cases and 81 new deaths reported 2 hours ago
