Heck of a way to go at his age. RIP
He started out on the left, but he was too nice a guy to stay there long. He was always a delight on panel shows and game shows such as To Tell the Truth, Tattletales, and The Match Game.
[ Actor and comedian Orson Bean is dead after being struck by a car while crossing the street ... TMZ has learned. ]
Oh my.
How sad and tragic.
I remember him on Merv Griffin. It was on after school. He talked about how great it was to take LSD. How he found a single blade of grass he bonded with.
Voice of Bilbo Baggins in the ‘70s animated version. R.I.P.
Venice?
Florida? Maine? California?
Italy?
I was in Venice a couple of weeks ago — can’t walk more than a block without being hit with the heavy smell of dope smoke, even when there’s nobody around.
Old RV’s are parked on the street — all remind me of the decrepit Winnebago meth lab out of Breaking Bad, people living in them to save money.
Even the Whole Foods is infested with vagrants taking up space — there’s a sign that says something like “do not proceed past this point without receipt” for the inside tables.
Along the beach there are multi-million dollar condos just feet from the heavily traveled sidewalk — the residents complain the homeless trespass and try to climb their iron-fenced 2nd floor patios, leaving used syringes in their tiny yards.
One of the most seedy places in California — but a real hipster haven. I guess Mr. Bean lived there long before the beatniks moved in. R.I.P.
Very funny guy - believe he was still doing a show in Venice Beach
He was a super nice guy! Rest in Peace Mr. Bevis—
He was in an episode of Two and a Half Men. Charlie was doing his young trophie wife.
Ninety-one is a good run. But struck by a car? I wonder if he was ... confuse or lost. RIP.
Way back he followed Wilhelm Reich and had an orgone chamber in his Manhattan abode/ RIP
Here’s an interview he did with Alley a couple of months ago:

Always enjoyed his humor, heck of a way to go but sounds like he enjoyed life to the end, Venice beach is special that is a fact, when you gotta go that is good a place as any I suppose. Dang the good old guys and gals are going fast it feels like.
RIP but there’s just something comical about a 91 year old jay walker. Not going to last long in California I can tell you.
Its a terrible tragedy to make it 91 years and die that way.
RIP.
Always seemed like a nice, normal, likeable guy with a good sense of humor.
Sadly lacking in today’s entertainment industry.
Just thinking the other day about all these old-time character actors. In a way, these are people we grew up with. Sorry to see them go.
Omg...RIP..say hello to Andrew!
Terrible news, RIP Orson Bean!
