RazorFist called it the “same speech as last year” and “filled with the same accomplishments as last year” [boring].
He too feel on the same conclusion as Scott...Pelosi got her message across to the [zombies].
To some degree, they are right. The [zombies] were giggling with glee at the stunt. And a cunning stunt it was.
But, RazorFist is an avowed “Libertarian”, which means he’s a free-will socialist. He also has eye-liner tattooed on his eyes. Still, he gives a good rant. Language. YMMV
>>same speech as last year
Oh, I didn’t think that at all. I was surprised by the amount of poetry in it. In general, you think of Trump as presenting in a way that makes you feel he’s talking directly to you as if you were together at a table in a restaurant. And some of what he says is what you would say, if you were really in that conversation. But this time, he ALSO spoke as SOTUs are often written, with the phrases that come down over time whether or not you noticed them as he spoke them. They’re not as effective when he speaks poetry. It’s not his natural language. But they’ll be remembered over the years because they WERE beautifully written. And we know Trump. He would NEVER have kept them in the speech unless he wanted them there. He said them for history.
I see, etc.
Ain't it cool when you can slide something in there naturally?
cunning stunt it was.

LOL! Once again, Clete, you succinctly strip down the vacuous from the BS.
A slender version of Libertarian introductions are typically introduced in terms of gauzy propositions that instinctively stick in your craw, but which were served up to you as ear candy, basically declaring some absurd measure of human “free will”.
“I’m okay, You’re okay.” (So, how dated is That?)
Libertarian schematics seem to rely a LOT, on high minded rhetoric that disguises an unwillingness to otherwise take up arms or battle against much of anything, culturally speaking, that might strengthen American Tradition, especially if it is based upon some affiliation to a Christian democracy in a Republic.
(”IF THEY CAN KEEP IT”, comes to mind.)
There seem to be plenty of self-professed Libertarians who really just sound like an extended version of the 60’s gloating yuppies, who still can’t leave their flirtation with “free will socialism” behind, preferring rather to carry themselves off as more of a free will “Socialite”, but would never admit to being a free will Socialist, (yet), so they call themselves, “Libertarian”.
I understand you spoke of one individual— the “avowed Libertarian”. Do you think a juxtaposition might propose that there is more vacuous version Libertarian, one who is a superficial Libertarian, perhaps a rhetorical parrot enthused mostly about the free will part, among all the Libertarian themes?
Simply put, there are ones who can align their lingering attraction to the old 60’s free-will chorus, more comfortably, with the Libertarian unconsciousness? One might be a pseudo-Libertarian, but is actually one extraction of that prepossessing socialite, or wanna be socialite, who still remains attracted to 60’s “free will”, so purports to call themselves, a Libertarian.
Pretty sanguine about others intentions and the free will thingy, it escapes me where Libertarian lines are drawn. Sharia practices, for example, are left unaddressed, unless the Libertarian is somehow only *directly* affected of course, that is... when one of their own body parts comes up missing.
Regarding Libertarians, I need pictures drawn. (With Lines and stuff.) You helped do that, Clete.
