Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi late Tuesday tweeted a photo that showed President Trump appearing to refuse a handshake at the beginning of his State of the Union address.
The pair's relationship is likely at an all-time low. House Democrats, led by Pelosi, impeached Trump and will likely be a handful of votes short in the Senate that would have led to his removal. Trump has called Pelosi the "most overrated person" he's met and a "third-rate politician."
Pelosi on Tuesday seemed to use the picture as evidence that the president holds grudges.
"Democrats will never stop extending the hand of friendship to get the job done #forthepeople. We will work to find common ground where we can, but will stand our ground where we cannot," she tweeted.
There was some speculation that Trump did not see her extended hand and some social media users pointed out that he did not shake Vice President Pence's hand, who was next to Pelosi.
Pelosi's tweet came shortly after she ripped up her copy of Trump’s speech as soon as his address concluded.
Pelosi told Fox News afterward that she had destroyed the speech “because it was the courteous thing to do considering the alternatives.” She also said she was "trying to find one page with truth on it" but "couldn't."
The White House responded by referencing several of the guests of honor whom Trump honored.
"Speaker Pelosi just ripped up: One of our last surviving Tuskegee Airmen. The survival of a child born at 21 weeks. The mourning families of Rocky Jones and Kayla Mueller. A service member's reunion with his family," the White House said in a tweet. "That's her legacy."

Pelosi did not introduce the President correctly as he came into the house. She also singlehandedly enabled the abuse of power by the Congress House majority.

That’s either weaponized ignorance or outright malice. A frightening number of Americans are just recently learning that “impeach” does not mean “remove”. A comparable number has yet to learn that “less than 2/3” means “don’t remove”. Edmund should know better, and likely did.
To tell you the truth, I don't think he even saw her hand gesture...and it sure didn't look like it was out for a handshake.
Trump says Nancy is “CRAZY”.
Nancy stands up in her White straight jacket in front of the world, including impressionable children who act more adult than she, and she rips a speech containing the names of people who died for our country and displays her craziness for all to see.
Do we trust our own eyes? YES, she’s crazy as a bat.
Nancy should do the honorable thing and step down. I not, House members should enter a resolution to request she step down and also call to censure her.
One word doesn’t describe her anti-American antics, she’s unhinged, disrespectful, disgusting, and yes, CRAZY.

She insulted him immediately by the way she introduced him with “Members of Congress, the President of the United State.” The introduction has always been, “Members of Congress, it is my high privilege and distinct honor to present the President of the United States.”
Furthermore, I don’t think he snubbed her. He was turning his back as she put out her hand. He didn’t shake his vice-president’s hand either, and he certainly would not snub him.

This was planned/staged. I could go either way whether the ripping up of the papers was planned or not.
Either way these were overt acts in front of the cameras/nation.
Nancy needs to be impeached!
He was already turning to his podium then she stuck out her hand.
If the snub is accurate, she would have come off as a heroine, if she hadn’t shown her childishness.
It would have been a nice touch if he had shaken her hand with a joy buzzer.
He didn’t shake Pence’s hand either.
He shouldn’t touch p-lousy without biohazard protection.
