Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi late Tuesday tweeted a photo that showed President Trump appearing to refuse a handshake at the beginning of his State of the Union address.
The pair's relationship is likely at an all-time low. House Democrats, led by Pelosi, impeached Trump and will likely be a handful of votes short in the Senate that would have led to his removal. Trump has called Pelosi the "most overrated person" he's met and a "third-rate politician."
Pelosi on Tuesday seemed to use the picture as evidence that the president holds grudges.
"Democrats will never stop extending the hand of friendship to get the job done #forthepeople. We will work to find common ground where we can, but will stand our ground where we cannot," she tweeted.
There was some speculation that Trump did not see her extended hand and some social media users pointed out that he did not shake Vice President Pence's hand, who was next to Pelosi.
Pelosi's tweet came shortly after she ripped up her copy of Trump’s speech as soon as his address concluded.
Pelosi told Fox News afterward that she had destroyed the speech “because it was the courteous thing to do considering the alternatives.” She also said she was "trying to find one page with truth on it" but "couldn't."
The White House responded by referencing several of the guests of honor whom Trump honored.
"Speaker Pelosi just ripped up: One of our last surviving Tuskegee Airmen. The survival of a child born at 21 weeks. The mourning families of Rocky Jones and Kayla Mueller. A service member's reunion with his family," the White House said in a tweet. "That's her legacy."

There were a thousand illustrations in the speech of dirt scraped off the American people and slung back at those wo smeared it there, the Democrat party.
Every single instance of good news was an assault on the bad news promulgated by the Democrats that our president overcame. The good news was bad news for Pelosi and the benighted dems and they said so in no uncertain terms.
Tearing up the magnificent record of this President’s enormous successes in turning tis country around was proof, if it was needed, that the Democrat party is firmly committed to the destruction of the American people.
So, she treats him like shit and she expects him to be “respectful.” The fact he did not spit at her was good enough.

He shook neither VP Pence’s hand of Speaker Pelosi’s hand. But Pelosi has to take it personally.
Over 20 votes short in a hundred seat chamber is a “handful”? Since when?
He turned away from her and Pence after handing them their copies of his speech before she offered her hand. Her extended hand was only offered by her after the President turned away, not before.
Why should he shake the hand of this wretched woman who insults him at every opportunity?

And she probably stuck her hand out as he was already turning his back, knowing he wouldn’t see it and creating this photo op.
And the whole speech was probably unbearable for her to sit through. He listed accomplishment after accomplishment, adding a few grand visions for effect, tacitly highlighting the fact that she has accomplished exactly nothing as speaker. No wonder she is so bitter.

Well, she is such a nasty old crone. Just heard that he did not shake hands with Pence either. He must have planned that with Pence before hand.
What’s more, even if he HAD shaken her hand, she’d still have torn up his speech.
