For some reason I’m thinking about a story out of Japan from a few years back where families continued to receive pensions of dead elders still in their beds.

Maybe. It develops into pneumonia . 427 dead people weren’t so lucky.

I think it is more like 14-20 days but yes, if everyone stays in their homes it will stop spreading.
