To: Red Badger

Is it really cultural “appropriation” or RESPECT for some aspects of some “native Americans” and particularly fierce bravery on the battlefield. The latter is clearly why some sports teams adopt(ed) various “native American” titles in their names, and NOT out of any disrespect.

Those titles have entered the COMMON AMERICAN culture and now belong to the COMMON AMERICAN culture. That occurs in EVERY culture and it occurs NOT out of disrespectful “appropriation” but the mingling of sources over time.
