Under the intense pressure, the authors of the original paper have now withdrawn the paper and intend to revise it. The publication that originally carried the paper now has a warning message stating, This article has been withdrawn. Click here for details. (See original source link here.)
In addition, the publisher has posted a message warning that all the science papers it posts as preliminary reports that should not be regarded as conclusive, especially when the science establishment is panicked that its official narratives might be crumbling by the hour.
We'll probably never know.
Interesting mention of HIV in conjunction with Coronavirus research from a paper published in 2010.

Sounds like “Captain Tripps”.... from Steven King’s “The Stand”.
It does indeed.
No one spending eternity with his phiz in a bowl of soup this time.
Look at post #33 above on this thread.
Professional medical literature is written to spell it out directly. It is not written like a political press releases where meaning is between the lines to rile people up. If they wanted to say that they believed it was man made, then they had the professional responsibility to say it directly. They did not. If they were implying that between the lines, then were not writing as medical professionals.
Is this something to be concerned over and question? Yes, if only for fears about SARS and HIV.
Is it conclusive by itself? No.
Does the fact that a question has been raised, imply a answer that suits any given political agenda? Of course not. That's politics, not medicine.
If other virologists and experts in the field find the same result and go "this is odd", then there's something to this. If they go "sorry, this is normal with viruses, here's a bunch of papers explaining it.", there's nothing to it. Not that Alex Jones or Natural News would bother to read that.
Geographically, it doesn't make sense that the Wuhan biological research facilities would be weapons production sites anyway. One of the labs was built with French help, and these locations are know to the WHO and the rest of the world. Not good places for secret research, when the rest of the world knows the capabilities of the sites.
China has the HeiheTengchong Line, where ~90% of the population lives in the eastern third of the country. ~10% of the population lives in the western two thirds. If the Chinese government wanted a bio weapons research and production facility, it would make far more sense to have it in the western part of the country, isolated from populated areas.
The Chinese are not going to be so stupid to put a James Bond bad guy facility that could cause a zombie apocalypse right in the middle of their most populated areas.
I remember reading that when it first came out. Holy crap, that was some head-game level stuff.
The entire first half of the book was the spread of Captain Tripps and the results. The description of the trip through the Holland Tunnel from NY to NJ was awful...
If that’s the guy, he’s likely a fraud. His PhD is from Walden University, an online degree mill, and the degree he’s a supposed candidate for is from Harvard’s extension school. He is essentially a planned undergrad at Fordham.
Keeping threads where conspiracy theories are discussed rationally and their flaws analyzed adds to the forum instead of detracting from it.
Put your pistol back in your pants, Tex. Im not wrong at all. Explain how I can be wrong about pointing out the phrase that’s triggering everyone? Please, Id really like to hear your explanation of how you know how many times I didn’t really see people making that claim. I didn’t argue a damned thing you said I only pointed out the phrase where people are claiming that they said it.
My apologies for misunderstanding what you posted. You're right, I can get a little trigger happy.
Read a story this morning that someone in Thailand with the virus was cured using anti HIV drugs.
Or maybe he got better by himself in spite of the HIV drugs lol!
I dunno about ‘shuttles’ but I’m curious about something called PAV or PAN or something like that, which inhibits the immune system response
testing......testing.............nothing like having live subjects
bkmk
No idea and don’t care, but they do produce bioweapons.
Been several stories but nothing conclusive - folks grasping in case they turn out to be right so they can claim to have “told you so” rights.
Pretty sure there is enough access to samples for it to be determined one way or the other - time will tell.
Agree, he is looking more likely a fraud. He does not pass the mustard test.
