China’s a big auto market. ~26m cars sold in 2019. GM sells roughly 1 out of every 8 cars in China. That number exceeds the total of number cars sold in India. By 50%.

The Chinese “cities” we keep hearing about are more like massive suburbs with a lower population density than Staten Island. They are cities in the way Staten Island or Nassau or Suffolk counties are cities. There’s a lot of room for automobiles.

But we’re getting cramped out here, compared to what it once was out here.

Took me an hour plus to get to my home from the Verrazano at rush hour recently.

But in the late, late hours, I love driving my Challenger through they empty roads :)
