Doesn’t matter why...when the police are called they are nobody’s friend. They arrive looking for a crime committed by anyone they think is a criminal. That’s why I prefer to take care of things myself until the situation is under control. Then I call police or fire or ambulance. And it only takes a half dozen of these incidents to make every cop look bad.
Why isn’t training better by now?
Why can’t police be charged with assault? Are they above the law, better than the rest of us?
Are autistic people better than the rest of us and exempt from arrest?
According to your inference it is evidently sufficient reason in and of itself to be handcuffed and thrown into a squad car.

I don’t believe in arrests with no charges filed. Either the person that gets arrested should be charged with something, or the cop.

The IQ level is just not there to ascertain anything other. Everyone is a lethal threat and the enemy.
