How much did Trump spend on his nomination race four years ago? I dont think it was as much as what Doomberg has spent so far in his race. If Doomberg becomes a serious player I could see him spending half a billion to get the nomination!

I believe he's playing the system. If he's a candidate he can spend whatever he wants. If he was a private citizen he would have to follow finance laws.
I believe he never intended to be a serious candidate. He's obsessed with beating Trump and he's able to spend money like a drunken sailor as long as he's "running."
