I actually worked for a pager company on contract after I left Digital Equipment Corporation. It must have been around 1993. I left the job when I got hired as a contractor back at...Digital Equipment Corporation.

I cut my teeth on a Vax 780. Sad what happened to DEC and VMS. Also used their Ultrix Work Stations - they were great machines in early 1990s.

...I remember once a brand-new sysadmin working on a VAX11-780, who reset the system parameter, for automatic logout time, when a password had been unentered for too long, to 1 microsecond.
