All hell broke loose at the Garden on Wednesday night, as the Knicks finally lost their cool after a season full of losing. The evening culminated with the worst possible Garden chant to owner James Dolan’s ears: “Sell the team.’’
With 48 seconds left in a 127-106 disgrace to the Grizzlies, starting point guard Elfrid Payton pushed down Jae Crowder after Crowder — with his team up by 18 points — stole a lazy pass in the backcourt from Julius Randle, took the ball to the right corner and flung up a 3-pointer as an incensed Payton pushed him in the chest.
Crowder got up off the floor and went after Payton and a mini-fracas ensued with Randle, Marcus Morris and Damyean Dotson trying to get after Grizzlies players.
Payton, Morris and Crowder were ejected, and Payton will likely get a suspension for his sore-loser act. As the unsportsmanlike scene unfolded, sickened Garden fans chanted “Sell the team’’ for about 20 seconds as Dolan left his seat.

Payton really was outrageous...
and not that I'm a great nba fan because I am not but I do follow my college players one who plays on the Grizzlies and they are not some ho hum team anymore....they've got an exciting team of young stars and for the NY post to act like losing to the Grizzlies was the ultimate humiliation was just plain ignorance and disrespect....

It was time for Eli to punch out. Maybe even one year overdue. I don't know if Daniel Jones is the long-term answer. He showed some flashes this season. But they can build around Saquan Barkley, who I believe is hands down the best back in the league.

We were big into the NBA in college. ofc that was early 70s with Camberlain, Russel, West, Frazier, Pistol Pete, Earl the Pearl and the ABA.
