Dozens of scientists have endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-Vt.) sweeping plan to combat global climate change after fellow Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden declared that “not a single solitary scientist thinks it can work.”
The former vice president derided Sanders’ proposed $16.3 trillion Green New Deal during a campaign stop last week in New Hampshire, adding that “you can not get to zero emissions by 2030. It’s impossible.”
Sanders swung back over the weekend, telling a crowd in Iowa that he would soon unveil “a long list of scientists” who back his plan. The Sanders campaign delivered on Tuesday, releasing a letter of support signed by 57 science professors and researchers from around the country.
“The Green New Deal you are proposing is not only possible, but it must be done if we want to save the planet for ourselves, our children, grandchildren, and future generations,” the letter signed by the scientists said. “Not only does your Green New Deal follow the [Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s] timeline for action, but the solutions you are proposing to solve our climate crisis are realistic, necessary, and backed by science. We must protect the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the planet we call home.”
The Sunrise Movement, the youth-led grassroots group that’s campaigned for a Green New Deal and endorsed Sanders for president earlier this month, is helping lead the signature campaign.

The only climate I give a flying rip about is the absurd political and cultural climate created by the MSM and the Swamp-dwellers in Washington . . . now THAT is a REAL threat to us all!!!!
Are the scientists expert in weather and climate, planets, or cosmology? Or are they social scientists, biologists, or other unrelated disciplines?

These climate change morons should get a clue and take a look at a volcanic eruption and fallout aftermath of a volcano like Mt. St. Helens.
I hate taking up for Biden, but endorsing Sanders’ “climate plan” does not mean scientists “think it will work”, at least as a climate improver. It’s no surprise that BS can find leftist scientists who want to destroy capitalism and control all private activity. Sanders’ “plan” has that covered.
Biden constantly makes these grand, sweeping (and demonstrably false) statements, like “Not one single scientist agrees with Bernie” and “Not a single person has said that my son Hunter did anything wrong in Ukraine.” Granted, Bernie IS wrong about climate, but it’s simply untrue to claim that no scientists agree with him. Undoubtedly, there are some crackpot scientists who think like Bernie.
Maybe the debate isn’t over.

It sounds like a real bargain at $16.3 trillion dollars. I’m sure the media will call it an investment instead of the massive confiscation of money it really is. On the bright side Bernie will bring back gulags which his campaign leaders tell us are like summer camps with reeducation thrown in.
Or the fact that every day something from the size of a grain of rice to a mid size car speeds through our atmosphere and one of these days something the size of Mt. Everest is going to come crashing in here at about 20 to 30,000 mph and it’s game over.
That’s the free college education the coms are all promising.
