I've seen all of the Oscar best picture nominees except Ford vs Ferrari (because I just don't care about cars) and the biggest surprise for me was JoJo Rabbit. My ranking of best to worst nominees:
Joker
JoJo Rabbit
Once Upon A Time in Hollywood
1917
Parasite
Little Women
Marriage Story
The Irishman
Ford vs Ferrari (didn't see)

Ford Vs Ferrari is the only movie on the list I did see. I’m not a huge car enthusiast but this was a really fun movie. Highly recommend. I’m a woman and loved seeing all the high levels of testosterone.

You should. see Ford V Ferrari. It's about much much more than cars.
Saw it this past weekend and was completely engrossed in the story, these characters... it is one of the better docudramas to come out lately.
And I love Joker. It's an astonishing film that will be studied for decades to come. But it shouldn't win best picture. Just way too depressing for that honor.

If you go with story-value by itself, then Parasite wins. It’s about half-way through the movie, when you think you understand the story and where it’s going....then it throws the wildest script change into the middle of this, and you have no idea how the story may end.

I have seen only Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (loved it) and Ford vs Ferrari. I highly recommend FvF even if you're not into cars.
