Philadelphia police are searching for the suspect accused of stealing $500,000 worth of jewelry belonging to former Philadelphia 76ers star Allen Iverson, Action News has learned.
The incident happened Monday morning around 10:30 a.m. at the Sofitel Hotel located on S. 17th Street.
Sources confirm the suspect removed $500,000 worth of jewelry from Iverson's backpack before getting away. Iverson was not present at the time of the theft.
The suspect is described as a 20-year-old man, standing 6-feet inches with a thin build.
He was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, red shirt, dark-colored pants and black and white sneakers.
Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 215-686-TIPS.
“The suspect is described as a 20-year-old man, standing 6-feet inches with a thin build.”
Boy, the media doesn’t help by not identifying the perp’s ethnicity.
“He was a man.”, said a witness identified as Miss Swan. LOL
That narrows it down... /sarc
How do they know it's a man?

Feet inches, a new unit.
$500K of jewelry, in a backpack. Genius. Hundred bucks says no insurance.
Keeping $500,000 in jewelry in your backpack, unattended, and some stranger knows about it?
Surely this isn't attempted insurance fraud.
[ How do they know it’s a man? ]
Well, it’s obviously one of the two guys that attacked Jussie Smollett...
Duh...
No doubt a honky who hates tuna fish Subway sandwiches.
That’s a lot of bling.
These type stories usually involve a prostitute.
Practice man, we talkin bout practice.
Guy was probably hoping for an authentic Sixers jersey and a pair of Nikes...
Who knows for sure? How is it, that the dude just happened to know there was a ton of rocks in the backpack? Was he wearing a MAGA hat? But then again, dont all of us carry a half million in jewelry around with us, almost every day, and leave it unattended? /S
I think a lot more information needs to come out.
Iverson isn’t a kid any more. He should be smart enough to know that if he’s carrying that kind of bling in Philly, he should wear it on his teeth.
I don’t think A.I. has to pay for it.
They did describe him, by not describing him.
Also, they’re describing a young AI...
It’s almost like someone saw him do it and they did what? Almost accurately describe him?
The funny thing is if someone pointed out the error, there would be myriad of leftists explaining how it’s technically correct.
