I’ll take a listen. Hagmann has some good interviews. I never did hear any more about his son—Hagmann apparently thinks he was murdered and staged to look like a suicide. Was hiring investigators IIRC.
For those not familiar you will find the 70 weeks prophecy in Daniel chapter 9.
At the beginning of the prophecy Gabriel says, verse 24, "seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy place."
Gabriel says the prophecy is: For your people and your holy city: That means the prophecy is strictly for the Jews and Jerusalem. So it does say that the covenant is with Israel.
You say he makes a covenant (berit), not a peace treaty. Berit would have been the Hebrew word for peace treaty. They only made covenants (a peace treaty is a covenant), usually involving the sacrifice of animals (see God's covenant with Abraham) and they would not have used a different word for this purpose. also there is no indication that it is an existing covenant. The text merely says a firm covenant.
You said it was with many nations, again, No, The word is just with many... "nations" is not in the text. Since the subject of the prophecy has been explicitly said to be Israel and Jerusalem then the subjects of the firm covenant can only be the same.
All due respect to whoever that is in your link, he is wrong. When someone starts off by saying "the wise will understand what I'm about to teach, but the wicked will not. (emperor's new clothes anyone?) I find that to be a big red flag. Secondly, he is teaching something that goes against established scholarship. Third his teaching is not supported by scripture. The idea that the abomination of desolation is the actual sacrifice is wrong.
While the blood of sheep and goats is no longer of any effect, and probably is abominable to God, this is not what the scripture refers to. Think Duality, many times prophecy is partially fulfilled as a type of what is to come. (Moses was a type of Christ delivering his people from bondage). Antiochus Epiphanes about 167 B.C. Stopped the sacrifices, killed a pig on the altar and set up a statue of the god Jupiter in the temple.
The abomination of desolation in the future may well be the statue of the Beast mentioned in Revelation 13. verse 15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. This may be done in the temple and would fit the prophecy.
In the end we can not know until it happens. My original comment was that if there is a treaty with Israel that causes the muslims to stop trying to kill them it is a sign that Daniel's last week has begun.
