Just speculation here, but Trump doesn’t want to be the first to shut down travel to China, because he knows that the Left will HAMMER him for that (for setting off a panic)...just as they will if he waits too long. So, once one country, somewhere, says no more travel to China (anywhere in China), Trump will jump and join them.
Sucks, and may be very costly, but you can tell the Left to thank THEIR LEADERS for Trump’s hesitation.

I agree, but it’s easy for us to tell him to take the hammering, as we aren’t trying to get re-elected this year...it’s just the reality of the situation and human nature - he’s human, and our side is stuck with that.

I doubt protecting the British or Frogs or French is a high priority for China right now. It does take 2 countries to permit an international flight, so if the rest of the world won’t stop the flights from China...why should China?

This morning I read that of the confirmed cases in the USA (5???) - they had all recently come from China.
Of course if it takes up to two weeks to show symptoms, who knows.
Hmm - one week to the Super Bowl. People from all over the country/world getting together for a big event. Then back on the airplane to travel back home.
As much as I wanted to see the Seahawks in the big game, perhaps it is for the best. Lots of Asian Seahawks fans!
