Well, there is a similarity ... the temptation to go out and rename a bunch of stuff, like Cape Canaveral. I think Trump should renovate the airport and rename it Idlewild.

i dunno ..i heard one moron on ESPN say this is our generations JFK MOMENT For ESPN, it is. At one point, ESPN used to be this nice little sports cable channel then, in the mid-90s, it decided to be obsessed with Michael Jordan. In season and out, if Michael Jordan had a bowel movement, ESPN would have a live remote. Shockingly, this must have made them money.
After Jordan retired the second time, ESPN switched their fixation to Tiger Woods and Kobe Bryant. Their sports radio shows were insufferable- wall-to-wall Tiger or Kobe day after day after day. Well, Tiger flamed out and Kobe retired so now it is obsessed with Lebron James, even when LeBron couldn't get the Lakers to the playoffs, they still drooled nightly over Lebron.
So, yeah, the folks who are still around to eat up all that drivel probably do think Kobe is a bigger death than JFK. ESPN apparently made so much money sniffing this man's jock that they can't help but be mortified.

In Los Angeles you’d think that JFK, Princess Di, John Lennon and Michael Jackson had all died at once.
Forget the NBA logo, they may be starting a new religion based on Kobe worship.

Would this reaction be the same of Lebron James if it happened to him?

Didn't nine people die in this accident?
Media making out like Kobe was the only one who was important.
