110 suspected cases of Coronavirus in US but only CDC has testing kits and hospitals have to request the kits which has led to a delay in testing

Daily Mail is like Radio Free Europe was to the Iron Curtain.
... The Chinese have them in their hospitals.
Well their bio-weapons unit is ~40mi away from ground zero
Also, the Chinese may be false reporting
I dont know how many they have or where they are sending them. I also dont know if they have restricted criteria for testing to preserve what they have but it would make sense.
I’m basing my cynicism on the fact that most government agencies are loaded with people who were with her.
And based on the amount of TDS I’ve witnessed over the past 3+ years it wouldn’t surprise me in the least to find some of them considered a cpl thousand american lives ‘collateral damage’ for getting him out of office.
(sits at desk in the park with ‘convince me i’m wrong’ sign)
“He should have already shut down international plane travel.”
Quarantine the passengers from China for 2 weeks is all that is needed.
Here’s the CDC breakdown of the 110 so far:
As of 1/27/2020
People under Investigation (PUI) in the United States
Positive 5
Negative 32
Pending 73
Total 110

Really beginning to have my doubts about the CDC. They knew that this Coronavirus was beginning to spread rapidly and virulently in Wusan and other areas of China. Yet they made no recommendation regarding the curtailment of air travel directly into the United States. Why not? With a 14 day incubation period, it would seem that those travelers have inevitably brought the virus into the country and theoretically a timely travel ban could have been effective. Seems that the CDC has more of a globalist perspective than an American perspective.
I hear what you’re saying...BUT...don’t they even think that they or a friend/family member could be “collateral damage?”
NOPE, they will fly to other countries and then here, it’s out of the bag, it’s everywhere now. We shut it down now or we go through the pandemic with everyone else, it’s that simple.
Trust me when I say this, hordes of people are going to be trying to get here just for the health care alone, that is “sick” people trying everything they can do to get to the US. It’s now or never
And now we enter the Trump-Blaming Phase.
“The CDC wants the data. They are smarter than everyone else, nobody gets tested without them doing the test. Its what bureaucracy does, self preservation ”
That’s it right here. They want all the glory and don’t want to share the glory and lose funding.
Media to start blaming it on Trump Tax Cuts in 3...2...1...
How many of the 110 are college students?
From the CDC website:
Q: Is there a vaccine?
A: Currently, there is no vaccine available to protect against 2019-nCoV.
Q: What are the treatments?
A: There is no specific antiviral treatment recommended for 2019-nCoV infection.
People infected with 2019-nCoV should receive supportive care to help relieve symptoms.
Tom here: I guess that means you can ride it out or....
The swamp wanted us to get in a shooting war with Russia. Then they wanted a shooting war in Syria. Then one with Iran (they’re still working on that one).
I’m betting they probably don’t care or assume they’d get platinum healthcare if they got it and survive.
*shrug*
I’d not have thought this way until I saw the State Department try (and still trying) to take down a lawfully elected president.
You haven’t been on twitter, have you?
They’re already saying he gutted the CDC. Prepping for blame if we get this.
Going to Twitter isn’t good for my blood pressure, but I’m not surprised one bit.
Not just Trump blame.
But Republicans in general.
We’re making reasonable preparations for 2 or 3 week ‘staycation’ and hoping someone, somewhere, does the right thing with travel limit/ban and *real* quarantine measures. Not like the journalist from ebolaland who self quarantined by going out to a local restaurant.
“How many of the 110 are college students?”
The 5 confirmed in the US so far are all Chinese. Some students, some business people.
