A girls basketball coach was identified as one of the fatalities in the crash that killed Kobe Bryant and his daughter Sunday, officials said.
Christina Mauser who worked at a private school in Orange County, California was among nine people killed instantly when their helicopter crashed in Calabasas, according to Costa Mesa Mayor Katrina Foley.
My kids and I are devastated, Christinas husband, Matt Mauser, wrote on Facebook.
We lost our beautiful wife and mom today in a helicopter crash. Please respect our privacy. Thank you for all the well wishes they mean so much.
Also killed in the crash along with Bryant, 41, and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, were college baseball coach John Altobelli, his daughter Alyssa Altobelli

Chester was the mother, Sarah, and daughter, Peyton.
Yes, awful!
Thank goodness Vanessa was not on flight.
Agreed. And that incident is dubious at best. The accuser was no angel.
Thanks. based my comment on the photo. Mom could pass for a young adult easy.
Well, at least youre concentrating on the important things...
9 dead asshole.

When a helicopter loses power, it falls like a rock which this one did.
So your dad never told you about autorotation ?
Why?
Quite honestly, no he didnt..
Yeah, well everybody is talking about "fog", but the video shows a catastrophic mechanical failure involving the tail rotor. So I wouldn't want to have been the last mechanic or company to have signed the maintenance logs. I remember what happened to Bill Simpson & Simpson Racing when Dale Earnhardt hit the wall at Daytona. He pretty much had to sit there an take the heat for NASCAR and Earnhardt's own decisions to modify his seats & harnesses.
Apologies all around... the video of the helicopter was a social media fake. Another crash... not Bryant’s.
Sarah Chester was 46 and also had twin sons. I hope they are quite a few years older than Peyton.
Look up a gyrocopter. Think “Little Nelli” in James Bond. An unpowered rotary wing with a pusher prop for propulsion that flies more like a plane.
I heard that Kobe take helicopter because it takes his sooo long to travel by car. Can make a trip in 15 min that would take 2-3 hrs by car.
Never been to Ca except to fly in/out LA.
Probably an 85 min trip.
I cannot imagine flying to my kids AAU game. Hauling them all over New England and New York was half the fun. Not.
4 people were in the car Diana was in. Only the bodyguard was wearing a seat belt. He lived the others died. I may be wrong but I think sometimes celebs think they’re bulletproof. Either that or they are more prone to risk taking than the average joe.
You’re one of those why I wear a ceramic plate on my back. Clearly another hypocrite.
Why not?
A needless tragedy for which someone is to be blamed.
A chopper doesn’t just fall out of the sky and no one with an IQ above 1 flies in fog.
You can KMA.
Out of the fog came a helicopter and it slammed into the mountainside about 200 feet from where we were standing, said the man, who asked to remain anonymous.
We were close enough that we could feel the air from the propellers. There was a huge fireball, he said.
We now know that the pilot was Ara Zobayan, but still not known if he was instrument rated. Regardless, only one person instructed the pilot to request clearance to fly in “poor weather”: Kobe Bryant.
All for a stupid game (to which they were flying). Horrible tragedy as a result of misguided priorities
