Who's Running Post #27

Post #27. With so many rats running for president in 2020 it's hard to keep up with who's in and who's out. Hopefully, this post will help. This thread will be posted each week, likely on Monday, with the dropouts from the previous week and newly declared candidates noted.

Below is a list of declared candidates and their occupation. Below that is a list of dropouts, their occupation and the date they dropped from the race.

Dropout(s) in the past week: none. It doesn't get any better than this.

Newly declared candidates from last week: Thankfully, none.

Same counts as last week. We're down to 14 declared candidates (13 if you don't include Killary) and 16 dropouts. Wonder how many will be on each list when the Iowa primaries arrive on Feb 3?

Please let me know via FReepmail if you find errors. Thanks! upchuck

Damn! They’ve had 16 drop out and still have 14 in the race. Do they hand you POTUS campaign filing forms when you register Dem?

Party affiliation makes no difference to the list. Chafee is running just like the other declared candidates.

Thanks upchuck. Moulton has endorsed Biden; Buttplug was confronted by a prolife Democrat (self-described) and in what was probably a complete hoax and setup, gave a mealy-mouthed say-nothing kumbaya response. He also praised Kobe Bryant for his achievements on and off "the field" -- in the latter category I suppose he includes the gang rape.

Rules don’t apply to Dems, so an insane 16 year old Swede note to two Swedish citizens should be no problem. Saint Greta for POTUS! How dare you not vote for me!

It looks like Warren has 101 candidates for delegate (for 101 slots), Sanders has 104, Biden 98, Yang 65, Klobuchar 63, and Buttigieg 52.

I figure the number of delegates fielded is a good hint on organization - despite Buttigieg’s money he didn’t even come close to fielding a full set of delegates in Illinois. Bennet, Delaney, Gabbard, and Patrick were all zeros. I figure they’ll drop out sooner than later.
Bloomberg and Steyer were zeros too but their objective is to fun anti-Trump commercials, not actually run for President.
