A heartwarming video of Kobe Bryant explaining the finer points of pro basketball to his daughter, Gianna, re-surfaced following their deaths in a helicopter crash in California on Sunday.
A YES Network camera caught Kobe, 41, and Gianna, 13, courtside at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center during a Dec. 21 game between the Nets and the Atlanta Hawks.
Kobe, wearing a Navy pinstripe jacket over a white crewneck shirt, gestured with his hands while leaning over and speaking to Gianna, who wore a gray knit cap and a pastel, multicolored top.

Will the Senate postpone the Impeachment hearings until after Kobe’s funeral?
I ask this question sincerely: what percentage of the American population cares enough about Bryant to warrant all the attention?
great athlete, good father and husband, Christian (with flaws as we all do - I mean that IS why Christ died for us, all of us, and Kobe believed that) don’t know the percentage but he is getting plenty of attention here. He was one of the greatest at his skill.
The percentage that watches sportball on TV plus a few random outliers.
Lots of people die tragically in accidents every day. That’s the way of the world. The vast majority of them are people I never knew, and will never hear about.
I’m sorry for Kobe and his family, but why should I be any sorrier for his family than any other family in the world who suffers a tragic loss?
Does Kobe deserve special treatment because he was a sports star, or a celebrity, or because he was rich?
My life hasn’t been any better because of Kobe being alive, and it won’t be any worse from his passing.
Basketball fans in general and Los Angeles Lakers fans in particular.
The Lakers have a large fan base, and being in Los Angeles get a lot of media attention and have a lot of celebrity fans.
Bryant was also one of the top players in the history of the NBA.
He is getting a similar amount ot attention that Lou Gehrig got when he died young too.
Thurman Munson and Roberto Clemente got similar treatment after their air crashes also.
Three other people died in the same helicopter crash.
They deserve every bit as much sympathy as Kobe and his family. They will never get it.
Their families will be comforted by those who know them, which is the only thing that really matters. Also, I expect there will be financial support from the Bryant organization.
The media drives the news narrative, the media and the famous class care, that's about all that matters.
I knew who he was but he and other sports figures do not influence my life in any way. I am sad that people died.
