Even though retired NBA legend Kobe Bryant was born and raised a Catholic, he made a few bad turns. But thankfully, the basketball star was able to turn his life around, and it was all thanks to a kind-hearted priest.

Wow. RIP
So sad to see anyone that young pass, but especially sad for his children.
Memory Eternal/RIP.
Apparently one or more of his children was with him. Even sadder
What a beautiful family. So heartbreaking.
Apparently one or more of his children was with him. Even sadder

I hope that is not true.
Sad news, not because he was a famous athlete, but because he was a family man with young children. RIP.
No, that was a false report apparently. Thank God.
CBS News 50 minutes ago “Unclear the identity of the other passengers.”
Truth is we have no idea if he did in fact change his ways.
Sadly I spoke too soon. It’s confirmed his 13 yr old was on the helicopter.
I thank God he was able to get his life straight before passing... that was one blessing so important to me when my own husband died, that he died in a state of Grace. I hope Mrs. Bryant and their daughters can find comfort in that.
One of his children, too...? Hoping that’s not true.
Pax Domini sit semper vobiscum.
TMZ, who had the initial report of the crash, said his older daughter was with him in the helicopter and died...
Condolences to family and friends of Kobe Bryant. R.I.P., thank you sir. love
For all those who condemn Kobe for his transgressions. I think it would be wise to put into perspective how much more temptation a celebrity faces compared to average folks.
It’s easy for us to judge when we don’t have to worry about women throwing it at us like Frisbees (as Eddie Murphy put it).
But by all accounts, Kobe appeared to be a good family man, despite his flaws.
We ALL make mistakes, God knows I have and every single person on this board has. All have fallen short of what they should or could do. To deny that is to lie to yourself and before God. Except for the truly evil few in the world, folks should end their days in old age and surrounded by at least one person who cared for them or they cared about. I will not condemn Kobe Bryant for his failures. That is human to fail. I will pray that he was right with his Creator before this tragic end. To also lose a daughter so young compounds the tragedy. May God have mercy of their souls and comfort those left behind.
