In an interview with The Baltimore Sun, he said he believed the paper was placed on his car, parked near his parents’ home in Northern Virginia, sometime on or before Jan. 20 — which was the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and the same day as a gun rights rally in Richmond, the state’s capital.

His parents house is in, oh, let’s say Fairfax Station, Virginia. Why and how would the bad guy track Sakran to his parents' house to place the paper? How did he know Sakran was going to be there? Did he follow him to his parents' house? Did he carry the paper around waiting for a chance to place it on the car?

Wouldn't it be easier just to mail it to him? Not that hard to get away with it.

Also, the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th that weekend had numerous periods of winds in the 25 to 40 mi/h range. (wunderground.com weather site history at Dulles airport, about 15 miles away). Also there were periods of rain, but not every day the whole weekend. The last time it rained was about 5 am on Sunday the 19th.

With the weekend and Monday being windy, I would expect the paper would be wrinkled much more than it showed in the pictures. If it were placed earlier, it should show evidence of being wet at some time.

Yeah we both agree that it appears there is a good chance it may a hoax, but you also have to admit, that as of this point in time we have no definitive proof that it is. Since he never took it to the cops, we probably never will. If you believe in your heart of hearts that it is a hoax, then that should be good enough for you. However, do not get the impression that you are automatic correct. Because neither of us know for certain, beyond the shadow of a doubt. The fact that he is anti-gun, and has been for sometime, helps you conclude it is a hoax. I doubt very seriously though if he carries much sway in the big scheme of things when it comes to gun confiscation. In other words, its the politicians that are the enemies. This doctor is just a supporter of these politicians that are all too willing to use their political power coupled with the use of force to enact it. But even they will be surprised when they try to do so. The Supreme Court would most likely stop them, and if not the citizens will. So deciding whether this is a hoax or not a hoax is of little consequence, in reality.
