I grew up in eastern Connecticut in the seventies and eighties, and I don’t recall any neo-Nazi types where I lived. It was a heavily Democratic area, but it was there I heard the N word used freely among these blue collar types. Is the far right extremism they’re referring to these blue collar Democrats in places like Groton, New London and Waterford?
