Looks like they're going to remake every single animated Disney movie.

Disney made his mark by animating stories.
The modern Disney makes their mark by reanimating animations.
It would appear that the only originality in H-wood lives in Pixar.

Making a live action Bambi movie is an idea that had to involve more than just the one mentioned Beer.

I loved Disney's "Bambi" as a kindergartener but absolutely hated it as an adult because it makes hash of Felix Salten's classic
Bambi: A Life in the Woods (New York: Simon & Schuster, 1928). To do justice to salten's original story, Disney should have called his movie by another name and given its characters different names because his story is so different--and far more dumbed down.
Incidentally, I had the 1928 translation by Whittaker Chambers (yes, it's that Whittaker Chambers) read to me when I was in fourth grade and re-read it about five decades later.

Being an absolute fan of the original Bambi, I’ll predict here right now the remake won’t be worth a damn.
They’ll gimmick it up with digital this and digital that and the whole thing will be a mess.
The type of animation used in Bambi is probably lost forever.
