(Reuters) - About 8.9 million TV viewers watched the U.S. Senate impeachment trial of President Donald Trump on Wednesday, the first day Democrats laid out their case against the president, marking a significant drop from the roughly 11 million viewers who watched on Tuesday, according to Nielsen ratings data. The audience includes viewership from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm EST on Walt Disney Cos ABC, AT&T Incs CNN, ViacomCBSs CBS, Comcast Corps NBC and MSNBC, and Fox Corps Fox News. The trial continued until 9:43 p.m. EST that night. The third presidential impeachment trial in U.S. history is unlikely to end with a vote that removes Trump from office, as Republicans who control the Senate have continually voiced support for the president.

I counted the people on-line that are listening to the impeachment. WP, CNN, FOX etc and there are @ 375,000 following. The same can be said for any Trump Rally. I counted @ 2,300,000 that watched on-line to the Toledo, OH Rally @ 2 weeks ago. My point is the numbers are for Cable TV, and there are still many that don't realize that many have cut cable, or don't watch TV still get information on-line. I think the rating will go up next week once Trumps deference Team gets to speak. Sharp Cats, and I like listening to them all. Thank God! The histrionics of the House Leaders has been truly disturbing. Looking forward to The Gutfeld Show, and Tom Shillue this Weekend. Should be a Hoot!
I TOTALLY AGREE! We are retired and we DO NOT WATCH IT! We don’t turn the TV on until THE FIVE comes on Fox channel. Then we watch old movies, etc.
Tonight I am watching Rehab Addict where Nicole is rehabbing an old mansion. Grand Blvd, Detroit. She got it for $62K. SWEET
These are NOT the numbers from the Republican presentations.
These are for the early dims ramblings.
