It just popped up on my FB page and I now use very crappy (with ads) Chrome
I’ve been using it for a long while now.
Good browser.
Brave is pretty good. It is engineered to intercept ads and trackers at a low level. It provides privacy and performance because the browser doesn’t force you to wait for ads to load.
They also have a plan/goal to enable users to select publication/sites that they will send money to on your behalf based on how many times you view a site. (The money is provided from the user’s digital wallet, or something like that)
The idea is to make up for lost ad revenue by letting users send money to the sites they like/use. This part is optional and I am not sure how finished it is.
The Brave browser is based on the open source version of Google’s Chrome browser so it should perform similarly to the Chrome browser (or better because of the low level ad blocking)
The founder Brendan Eich, invented JavaScript and was a founder of Mozilla/Firefox. He started Brave after he was drummed out of Mozilla because he was outed as signing the CA Prop 8 petition (anti-gay marriage initiative).
Weird. I didn’t do anything to the settings when I installed it. Perhaps googling the problem might help.
The GPS that I use in my car says I have to update with chrome only, I refuse to use chrome so I use the brave browser to update only, then uninstall it. In the future when more Firefox type controls and add-ons are available I might switch, but now there is not enough control.
Fast, powerful, but most importantly it’s not related to Ghoulgle.
It was created by the former Firefox exec that got chased out because he didn’t agree with the fag agenda.
Very good for popup and adblocking; it likes to request updates all the time (annoying, but it means they are improving its protection)...a bit of a memory hog.
I use it on my Mac at home.
Same here.
Barely use the other ones.
I use it daily as well as Vivaldi. They both use the Chrome app store but not Chrome specific Chrome. I believe it uses cromium code base.
Exactly. Been using it since it came out. Great!
Been using it ever since it came out when the Guy split from Mozilla/Foxfire/Firefox or whatever. Been working great !!!
Install it and Piss on goggle rusty (aka chrome)
Is there a problem with using Duckduckgo?
I should add that I have it installed and in use on: 2 iPhones (6SPlus & SE),3 Android (All Samsungs),2 Android Tablets (HP & Samsung Galaxy), Toshiba Satellite Laptop Win 8, 1 Desktop Win 7 and it works great on everything.
I wish I could put it on the Ice Maker in the Fridge that works 1/2 the time !!!
None at all. I have DDG Set as My Default Search Engine on All Devices listed above.
Chromium is open source and was developed by google...
decent read here

You can get them both for chrome.. but it makes chrome a bit wonky
No thank you.
There are two VERY EVIL entities on the tech scene today, Goog and FB.
Many have no clue how treacherous these entities are but the ranks of the aware are growing and seeking clean, trustworthy alternatives which are now organizing, starting up, imbued with wisdom to know what and what not to do to avoid falling afoul of the consumer.
Historical backlashes such as these take years to emerge but already there is a worldwide sizable contingent of emerging awareness and disgust, a growing contingent that will never trust these entities in their current form ever again.
Given the Trump era and its transformation of nations to a new standard of transparency, it is a good bet that these evil tech entities decline and/or are taken over, sold to others willing to change names and operating environments, all to make amends with those that were made wise to their violations of human rights and manipulation of facts and priorities.
The future will be quite different from what anyone can imagine. But one thing is for sure, the dark funding system that gave rise to these overnight tect Billionaire puppets will be set aside and so these tech fronts will decline with certainty. They will be in part liquidated, bought out, sold off, transformed technologically in a new historical era of decentralization that includes taking down their corrupt funding mechanisms.
DDG sometimes ‘borrows’ page results from Gulag and today’s Gulag is horrifically deceiving and corrupt.
DDG is not intending to promote Gulag search results but they aim to include more results so as not to look limited as for example StartPage.com which is very private but sometimes sparse in search returns.
Bing is not as evil as Gulag but a good little search engine that is devoid of Gulag corruption and that also returns a good amount of results is DogPile.com. Try the latter and you will see it’s very good.
Thanks, Ill check it out.
