I don't think I would have been happy to see those two officers, but I would have invited them in for coffee. Being confrontational with police officers is the wrong tactic for anyone: some are jack-booted thugs but most are just honest, hard-working guardians who can be made to understand our positions.

We need them on our side.

But in fairness, I can understand the absolute frustration in such a visit. Probably would have sent my blood boiling as well. My guess is they knew exactly who he was probably from his previous visit. The cops are looking for ‘shot callers’. That’s why they went to talk to him personally. I also assume there were more than just those two there. The others were unseen - just lurking around the area.

Don’t be surprised if they didn’t talk to his neighbors as well.

I come from strong law enforcement family. My late uncle was a police offer of 35 years, my brother-in-law is an officer of nearly 40 years and my son is at the police academy now, that being said... The VA State Police are an entity of the biggest bunch of goose stepping aholes matched only by National Park Rangers. I have never been pulled over or written by VSP but in road blocks I never met such obnoxious dic-tators in my life. My sister lives in VA and is a nurse and interacts with law enforcement and gets along great with local law enforcement but she can’t stand VSP and can find no one who likes VSP.
