I wanted to note this as its one of the most important aspects, but contained separately in its own comment. Protesting is constitutional. We have a responsibility to do it. When we don't protest, we are disregarding our constitutional and moral responsibility.

Our Founding Fathers wanted us to go protest. They themselves were protesters, and they wanted you to be a protester too. So go be protesters, for the Founders! The First Amendment says:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

One last thought. I've been to several protests - man is it FUN! It is so much fun being around such good decent people all in the same singular place, who made it a point to arrive in the same place for the same reason.

Ping....

Summary: The Constitution protects protesting, which means our Founders expected us to be doing it. I, for one, will do as the Founding Fathers told me to do.

Pure conjecture on itmy part but maybe we are not as likely to protest because that is a word we have been conditioned to use whenever any group of like-minded people gather and it conjures up images of violence and chaos.

Perhaps a more persuasive term to use to get more citizens involved would be a call to peacefully assemble.

Obviously the Fake News Media would call any such assembly a protest but that doesn't mean we have to use it.

Anecdote.

January, 2006 - The Memorial for the Sago miners at Weslyan WV University. The Westboro Baptist Church had come to do their normal BS. The Patriot Guard Riders had graciously sent a contingent to run interference between the WBC and the mourners. No sooner had the PGR arrived on campus (without bikes) than the Alpha Hotels from the media were running at them, all asking the same question, “What are you protesting?”

Fortunately, thanks to the WV State Police, the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office and the Buckhannon PD, the WBC was kept at a distance and the PGR were allowed to just observe and join the ceremonies.

I guess my point is that the media ALWAYS has a pre-conceived story in mind and is interested in ONLY that story.
