Alvin, Texas— Down in Alvin, it's the talk of the town.

The loud boom heard Saturday night was unlike anything the Alvin residents had heard before. But the story gets a bit more bizarre. It wasn't just Alvin. The KHOU 11 newsroom was flooded with reports of the same loud boom all across the viewing area. ALVIN, Texas — Down in Alvin, it's the talk of the town. "It was like boom," said one Alvin resident. "We both jumped up and said what was that. It wasn't someone knocking on the door. Our whole house shook." The loud boom heard Saturday night was unlike anything the Alvin residents had heard before. But the story gets a bit more bizarre. It wasn't just Alvin. The KHOU 11 newsroom was flooded with reports of the same loud boom all across the viewing area.

"I still wonder what it was," said another Alvin resident.

KHOU 11 News reached out to the Pearland Police Department, League City Police Department, the Texas Department of Public Safety, Alvin police, the Galveston County Sheriff's Office, Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office and Brazoria County Sheriff's Office and no one has determined exactly what the boom was.

KHOU has also reached out to NASA for a possible explanation but has not heard back.

If it was a meteor, wouldn’t you see a bright streak across the sky first, even in daytime? But since there wasn’t any, that could be a military jet of some sort.

When I was a little kid in the 60’s in Southern California I remember a lot of sonic booms.

I think it was related to Edwards on the other side of the mountains.

They should contact ATC in the area...

Or, contact AOC in the area, verify that perhaps the 11 years remaining date should be moved up a tad.

Government is having a bad time do to poor coverup story coordination.

Texas is one of the states with triangular objects sighted in the skies a number of times in 2019. These usually were silent—if they even exist. Hope they’re really our military’s and not China’s or “someone else’s”.

Phase one: 1970s —No such stealth experimental aircraft are under development. Phase two: both versions of long discussed American stealth aircraft to be unveiled say insiders. 1981 F-117 and 1989 B-2.

Stop eating beans.

Tell that to Jerry Nadler and tell him to get the heck out of the state.

It could be a military jet, but having broken the sound barrier by accident one time over Tel Aviv, I know personally that someone is getting an ass chewing that is probably louder than the sonic boom itself.

Meteors do this hundreds of times a day on Earth.

It’s seldom noticed.

Sounds like the start of a country western ballad.

Maybe. But often no.

Beleive me, if meteor caused enough of a boom that it would have rattled peoples homes, someone would have seen it or recorded it on video.
