Another idiot with a gun. For all he knew, the dog was excitedly coming to get petted. Idiots like him can’t interpret animal body language and automatically assume the dog is coming after them.
The Post says unleashed. Other papers say leashed and say there is at least news pic of the dog lying dead on the sidewalk with its leash still on. And, is the agent that Muslim looking guy in the Post's photo? Just saying.
how many times do we have to tell those darn dogs it’s time to go home when the street lights come on?
Idiot owners.
This agent should be relieved of his badge until a thorough investigation into his fitness for the position can be 100% determined.
Also; he should not be allowed to carry a gun until his mental fitness can be determined.
From the article: “Then I heard people arguing and cursing, Whyd you let the gun go off?
I guess he “let the gun go off”, because the gun was afraid of dogs, and he wanted his gun to feel safe.
The dog started barking, and the startled agent pulled out his gun and shot her, police sources said.

She scared a cop who was walking home, the visibly shaken dogs owner said as he covered his eyes. He shot her and shes dead.
Walter Blankinship, 51, the stable master at the nearby Kensington Stables, was across the street outside the stables when he heard the shot.
“There was a guy and a girl and another guy. A gunshot went off, just one, Blankinship said. “The (dogs owner) was cursing and ranting at the other man, I cant f-—ing believe you let the gun go off.
Police said the agent told investigators that the dog charged at him. And in a statement to The Daily Beast, the Secret Service alleged the dog was unleashed.
An off duty Secret Service employee was involved in the shooting of an unleashed dog in Brooklyn, NY this evening. As this is an ongoing NYPD investigation, the Secret Service will not have further comment,” the statement said.
In answer to a request from The Daily News to clarify the characterization of unleashed since The News has a photo of the dogs body at the scene with her leash still attached, a spokesman for the Secret Service said it will not have further comment.
Almost nobody here believes the Cop was telling the truth.
Trigger happy thugs.
Who walks a dog unleashed in Brooklyn?
Idiot owners.

Im suspecting that in this case what they mean by unleashed is the dog was charging with nobody still holding the dogs leash.
My spidey sense tells me we’ll find out LATER this was a FEMALE Secret Service agent!
Boomer and conservative 98 should be relieved of there laptops until a thorough investigation into their fitness for posting can be 100% determined. Also; they should not be allowed on free republic until their mental fitness can be determined.
SPREADING HATE AND DISCONTENT TOWARDS LAW OFFICERS WHEN YOU HAVE ZERO BACKGROUND INFO ON THE FULL STORY IS A SORRY STATE OF MIND
there fixed it..
And you know this...perfectly how it all happened.
I do know this.
Where I grew up pansies who couldn’t handle a dog even if it was trying to bite them didn’t graduate the police Academies.
This crap starts with the metrosexual police Academies and trickles out to the beat cops.
I use Halti leashes which have the option to snap the leash around your body, via extra snaps and loops.
If a cop shoots my dog, I’ll be getting hit too.
Just a note in case it ever happens.
Good. Keep your dog in your yard or on a leash.
Please don’t get shot!
