If you thought the punishments levied at the Astros following MLB’s investigation into sign-stealing were harsh, just wait.
Current Red Sox skipper and former Houston coach Alex Cora likely still faces penalties after it was determined that he “arranged for a video room technician to install a monitor displaying the center field camera feed immediately outside of the Astros’ dugout.”
According to The Post’s Joel Sherman, a “stern punishment” is expected for the Boston manager.

Nobody Astros GM and manager actively put in place an elaborate cheating scheme that nets them the World Series. Banned for ONE YEAR...and the title stays.

Apples and oranges, to bring the Pete Rose case into this.
Tell that to Twitter, where "Pete Rose" was a top 5 trend all day, with millions calling for him to be put in the HOF after this ridiculous wrist slap.

But, in fairness about Pete Rose, he's a baseball guy, so he knew betting, especially on his own team, was considered a big no no. Since 1919.

But he will probably be fired as well. I like Boston but curious how Astros and Red Sox both won WS during cheating years. I mean it still takes talent but was it that extra edge that put them over the top to get there. And Cora not going to the white house, bet Trump says something about this haha! These guys knew it was cheating, so I am on the Pete Rose HOF boat too I guess. I mean heck are any of the PED users in the HOF? Bonds, McGuire, Sosa, Clemens. Cheating is cheating is betting on your team to win. Either way no skin off my back but I’m glad the Nationals won it this year.

I don’t know enough about the rules of baseball and sign stealing, to say if this penalty is excessive or not.
I have a feeling it was decided to make an example of these guys, to deter others from setting up sign stealing mechanisms. I want to learn more how this all went down.
Hinch got one year. Cora instigated it in Houston, then did it again in Boston. Three years minimum. Maybe he can start a baseball camp.
How can they retain the title of being world series champs if theycheated? Should be stripped in my opinion! Sad.
The Rockets’ team owner owns casinos that take bets. How is that different?

You misunderstand. I think both the ‘17 & ‘18 trophies should be awarded to the Dodgers, and Jim Crane and the Boston owner suspended like Steinbrenner and Schott were.
