Wolf Pack Surrounds Visitors Driving in Yellowstone National Park
OutdoorHub ^ | 01.07.20

The first thing you will realize when visiting Yellowstone National Park – aside from the astonishing beauty of nature and wildlife – is that you have entered an area that isn’t totally ruled by humans. A pair of visitors at the park recently recorded a video that proves this point, and it might make you feel a little uneasy..

As NBC Montana reports, Brandon Beshears captured and shared video of a wolf pack surrounding his truck while he was driving through the park one evening.

Check out the video from NBC Montana’s Facebook below (VOLUME UP TO HEAR THE PACK SOUND-OFF!):

A little creepy, right?

Notice the remainder of the pack in his rear view mirror? Yeah, talk a bad time to get out of your vehicle and mess with nature. We’ve seen it before though..

A lot of people have an infatuation with black wolves because of their exceptionally striking appearance, and you can’t blame them. If you’re like me, you never get tired learning about this incredible K-9’s!

Honest to Paws has an interesting article about the mysterious black wolves of Yellowstone, which details the history of these majestic looking animals.

Wolves are animals, that’s what they do. The elk had best adapt.

The various state DNR are full of human-hating assholes.

Absolutely. We used to have the Division of Wildlife and they were decent folks who liked hunters and fishermen who paid for everything. Then the democRats changed them to Parks and Wildlife with an emphasis on Parks and now they suck. The hunters and fishermen still pay for everything but they cater to the hikers, birdwatchers and enviro wackos.

I believe you. A 1,5000 lb. Ice Age mammal isn't going to be intimidated by your average midsize sedan, compact car or even a pickup truck. Bison don't have very good eyesight beyond 20 or 30 yards so they tend to regard anything in their midst or moving toward them as a threat. Obviously you knew what to do. You sure lived to tell about it.

After a long 20 minutes, they got bored and ambled off in another direction and we resumed our journey. I still tease her about that close encounter with wildlife.
............................................
True story. In 1968 when I was 27 years old, a friend and I were traveling through the same area. When we encountered Bison close to the road we stopped and I got out to film them close up. I walked toward them and was some 30 yards away from our VW camper and 50 yards away from them when they decided to charge me. Just made back to the camper before they were up on the road in front of us. Lesson learned!

Wolves kill a pet dog.

A warning would have helped.

Just because those hipster-doofus californiacs are in Colorado doesn’t mean it’s “their” state.
..........................................
I’ve been hearing for several years that the Leftists from Mexifornia have already ruined the once freedom-loving culture of Colorado!

They don’t look that menacing. Probably would have ran away if somebody got out of the car.

Try the Ranching For Wildlife program thru CO Div of Wildlife...

We’ve had great success hunting late (winter) rifle up there, and NW of Craig towards Great Divide on BLM land...Area 3 and 301...It’s an open country hunt and got to cover a lot of ground on some rough roads to find the herds...Very good antelope and mule deer hunting as well...

Just be prepared for very cold and deep snow conditions if you go late...We’ve hunted in t-shirts in Dec one year and couldn’t get in due to depth of snow the next...

‘Winter’ in Yellowstone can include the end of May
.........................
I went in the park from Cody around June 7 two or three years ago heading south to Jackson. Roads south were closed due to snow and it was snowing big time! Had to go out the west side and then south through Idaho to finally get down to Jackson.

We vacationed in Yellowstone for a week in winter...cross country skiing everyday...got taken around the park in a tracked vehicle...so there’s that.

The elk hanging near the buildings was highly unusual, and was portrayed as a great gift to fawning (so to speak) tourists...when actually the elk were simply hanging about with the tourists, the best and easiest ways to avoid the hunting packs of wolves.
.................................................
That is a heartbreaking story, and is another reason I now have to despise all Leftists pukes who do nothing but bring ruin and destruction wherever they go. Makes my blood boil!

Most posting on this thread seem to be clueless about packs.

Got that right.

That was my first thought, too. Still, I would not want to be the one to test this theory.

You do know they were setting up just in case? Sending the one up front?
Wow people here are clueless. These are vicious predators who have hunted and killed humans. Very little frightens them.
