NAMM is a trade show. It is where manufacturers of music gear show off their new products, and where buyers place orders. To be sure, there are "stars" there (Nicko will be signing things at the British Drum Co. booth) but this is chiefly about Commerce. As such, there are months of planning that goes into NAMM and the awards etc. and Neil just died.
That said, I suspect a few of Neil's endorsers will do something special. All in good time.
