Have only been able to use PUREX for years. Get the non scented kind if you can.

I always rinse a load of laundry twice. For my clothes, I add vinegar to one of the rinse cycles, and I never put in the huge amount that the package says to use.

Clear.Vinegar mixed in the detergent might help break down the soap better.
