After surviving a stretch of homelessness on the streets of Tulsa, Oklahoma as a child, Raiders running back Josh Jacobs proudly announced on Tuesday that he has bought his father, Marty, a new home on the north side of town.
'Blessed just bought my pops a house,' Jacobs wrote on Twitter after revealing the surprise to his father.
Jacobs, 21, just completed his rookie season in Oakland after signing four-year deal worth nearly $12 million as the 24th-overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft. The former University of Alabama star and his Raiders teammates will begin playing in their new home, Las Vegas, next season.

Good for him. Glad to see something positive coming from the NFL.
His dad could not give him much. But what he did give is graciously and deeply appreciated. Thanks for posting this uplifting story.
I have a relative who plays in the NFL.
There are actually a lot of very good people in the NFL.
Unfortunately that’s all been overshadowed by Kaepernick’s kneeling and the NFL’s subsequent capitulation to the SJW’s.
What his father gave him was a kind and grateful heart. There is no greater gift because that heart. Is always open to God.
Kaepernick kneeled all alone, watching Epstein kill himself.
If I was Saban I would distribute this article to all the parents of recruits. Whatever one thinks of Saban he seems very good at turning boys into men.
Nice story. Congrats to father and son.
Saying that I hope he does well in his NFL career.
Nice thing to do. Not sure I needed to hear it from him. Do stuff for people. Take joy in the feeling you did something nice. Period.
Nice gift though....
Excellent. Charity begins at home.
Gave him some good genes!
I remember watching a video of some broke former NBA player. He talked about hitting the big league and the first thing you want to do is buy your parents a new home. But then you have to furnish the home. Your parents have to fit into their new neighborhood so they need a car. He just kept naming the addons as an example of how the money disappears.
This is one of the benefits of becoming a professional athlete. A lot of these guys come from tough backgrounds and use their cash to lift their families.
What a killjoy you are...he was showing how proud he is of his dad..and give dad the limelight.
