I'm having the first of three needed surgeries today and am leaving for the outpatient surgery facility in about an hour.
Two surgeries are to correct circulation issues I've been having and the third is to correct an irregular heartbeat condition I can no longer ignore as it's affecting my quality of life and requires an ablation.
None of these are life threatening by any stretch of the imagination and still I worry (because that's what I do better than anything ....) about having them.
May I ask for some prayers that I remain calm and don't panic/freak out today? I hate having to ask and I hate moreso having to have surgery today. Getting older frankly sucks and I wish I'd have taken better care of myself when I was younger. Such is life.

My first hip replacement surgery had me similarly worried. It was all for naught, as it was a great experience. Yours will be too!

You’re in my prayers. The above links are videos I’ve found helpful, they are Bible verses that assure us of God’s power to heal and bring us peace. Great for serenity and sleep!
PS: For some more hard-headed assurance — I think you are in good shape or your doctors wouldn’t dream of operating! Just get out of the hospital as soon as you can, so you don’t catch something. :)
