Whew! At least my SUV was left out of the equation - this time.
I've been waiting for my neighbor's bass pond to do that for years. Me, a covered porch, a cold beer, a couple of rods........but it only makes it to the end of the driveway when it floods, damn it. *sigh*
Norf9lk is. sinking.
I’m always afraid to say Norfolk, for fear of mispronunciation, and inadvertently saying a vulgar word.
These eco-frauds are always good for a laugh. Since there are only 11.2 years remaining , who gives a rat’s a** ?
“...John Bluming’s house, which now sits on stilts.”
I wonder how long it has been on stilts? In fact, how easy is it to take a house and put it on stilts?
“After I bought the house, I realized it was a common occurrence.”
So it has been doing this for awhile. Perhaps a very long time. One would think you would look into stuff like that. Like driving from a prospective new home to work during commuting hours. (I guess an app can tell you that now).
“The U.S. government says, globally, the sea level has risen more than three inches in just the last 25 years.”
THREE INCHES!!?? So how accurate is this new app? Even $500 dedicated GPS unit can only get elevations to a few tenths of a foot.
What about marking the side of navigation buoys with inches?
They taught me a lot in the US Coast Guard.

Sounds like it’s REALLY bad in New England -
The seas along the East Coast from North Carolina to New England are rising three to four times faster than the global average, and coastal cities, utilities, beaches, and wetlands are increasingly vulnerable to flooding, especially from storm surges, according to the US Geological Survey study published Sunday.
I don’t worry, I have an app on my smartphone that alerts me when the sea levels have reached my ankles here in the high desert of E. Washington state.
A rising tide sinks all boats?
Will we be OK once Guam turns turtle??
Normal sea level rise according to NOAA, is about 5 to 6 inches per century. What is happening in Norfolk is subsidence.
The instrumentation and the computer programming that the “US government” uses does not have the precision to determine that there was a 3 inch rise in sea levels. Additionally the U.S. government's researchers were infiltrated by leftists with an agenda over the past couple of decades. So this is all nonsense as usual.
“so water no longer seeks it’s own level...”
Don’t be dragging science into this.
sure fire solution to Gorebull Warming. Move. Humans have done it for millennia.
