J C Watt was an outstanding Congressman and a great person as an American. I think he’s an Oklahoma Native. I hope he’s got something going that will inform the black community the truth not the Liberal plantation owners BS. He should have been the first black President.

I was going to make fun of it ala “Black Jeopardy” but saw that it was headed by Watts....whatever happened to his political career? Seemed so promising.
Co-founded by Watts and a white guy with a broadcast background, Bob Brilliante. Majority owned by Pakistani American Shad Khan, billionaire owner of the NFL Jaguars and lukewarm Trump supporter. I’m assuming much Khan’s “reserved support” for Trump is based on his personal financial interests. Looks like one of their first on air talents will be Larry Elders.
Hopefully they will be a sane, legitimate outlet for conservative and moderate black voices to offset the existing outlets that will call them Uncle Toms.

So let me get this straight. Racism is OK if you are black as long as you are ‘conservative’. But not OK if you are white and conservative?
If they just TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT THINGS THAT HAPPEN they’ll have a HUGE audience in no time. And it won’t be just black people watching. We need some decent news services in this country, not just the rantings of the Trump deranged.

Tallahassee is an interesting venue for the new venture. Its transition from segregation was relatively easy in comparison to those of other Southern state capitals. Today, Tallahassee has a substantial and relatively well-educated Black population with a successful professional class. Most of all, being based far outside the usual media venues, the Black News Channel may better reflect what is going on in the country and in its community. Not perfection or proximity to an ideal, to be sure, but genuine progress and increasing confidence that America is mostly on the right track about race.
