The Black News Channel has delayed its launch until Black History Month, the network announced last week.
Having been previously slated to launch on Nov. 15 and then Jan. 6, the minority-owned network aimed at an African-American audience will instead hit the airwaves on Feb. 10, after initial audience projections proved to be larger than originally expected, the channel said.
“Black History Month is an appropriate time to launch the Black News Channel,” Bob Brillante, co-founder and CEO for BNC shared. “We are committed to make sure that when our viewers tune in they are witness to a quality viewing experience.”
According to BNC co-founder J.C. Watts, a former Republican congressman, the network will be available in over 70 million homes and devices at launch. …

Tallahassee is an interesting venue for the new venture. Its transition from segregation was relatively easy in comparison to those of other Southern state capitals. Today, Tallahassee has a substantial and relatively well-educated Black population with a successful professional class. Most of all, being based far outside the usual media venues, the Black News Channel may better reflect what is going on in the country and in its community. Not perfection or proximity to an ideal, to be sure, but genuine progress and increasing confidence that America is mostly on the right track about race.
Shad Khan, owner of the Jacksonville jaguars is the majority investor.

I don’t believe in “black news channels” or “white news channels”. I believe that If anything is racist, it’s an all “one race” channel.
More than fed up with “black” this and that. Segregation was supposed to be a bad thing. I guess that only applies to white folk.
Yes, stuff like this just keeps a dividing line going.
It they launched a “white....” this or that the outrage would be non-stop.

You are absolutely right.. I long admired him - hope he will educate a lot of blacks as to the real problems in the country and in their culture - ala liberals or as they prefer to be called “progressives” or maybe even “Marxists”.

If this turns out to be the “Blexit” network, then that would be a pleasant surprise.
