Blow it up before leaving...or sell it for CASH!
Nuke it from orbit!
The whole of Iraq is not worth one more American casualty.
Bingo!
Its always about the money.
Unless Iraq is declaring our diplomatic corps to be persona non grata, the embassy will still be US soil and Marines guard the diplomats.
If they want to kick everybody out, then raze the building on the way out.
That whole our embassy is sovereign soil stuff is a myth, an old wives tale. Its not true. Look it up.
Granted, but by diplomatic custom its a defacto state.
Dont blow it until its full of ululating Arabs. Then...BOOM!!
And I agree with you. If they dont want us there we shouldnt beg to stay-we should level the place and bring everything back home.
Ok..Ciao...if you get invaded...Call someone who gives a F!!
(grins!!)(HaHa!!)
The legislation voted on by the Iraqi parliament and what may come of it in terms of actions by the Iraqi government hold an opportunity for that government to demonstrate its hypocritical politics.
The legislation actually calls for the removal of ALL foreign forces from Iraq. The diplomatic world, and particularly the Middle East diplomats will have something to say when and if the only “foreign forces” the Iraqi governments seeks to expel are Americans, and not any members of Iran’s Quds Force, including their Iranian members & their foreign fighters from Lebanon, Syria, Palestine & Afghanistan - all of which Iran has brought into Iraq, and all part of Iran’s militias in Iraq.
Sadly, I am reminded of all our wonderful troops, many who gave their lives and limbs to free that country - Iraq; Geo Bush did not obtain a status of forces agreement in Iraq, which Ozero turned in to a complete route allowing Iran to take over Iraq for nothing... for which we are not thanked, we are despised... now we are ordered to leave; Iran wins for nothing.
This throwing our troops into a garbage disposal started with Vietnam, continues in Afghanistan and has led to rendering Bush's Iraq War into a total waste of time, money and our most precious resource: our brave men and women who stepped up and did their duty in places like Fallujah.
This human disposal by D.C. has got to stop! People on Welfare get more govt consideration than our fighting forces.
Oh - and just to add insult to injury, the Dems made sure after our troops won the Iraq war - the Dems made sure that no American oil company could benefit from the commerce with Iraqi oil:
We doubt French politicians are objecting to Total's contract, but American Democrats are so blinkered about Iraq that they now object even to U.S. companies getting business on the merits. The hydrocarbon law would help to clarify revenue-sharing between Baghdad and Iraq's outlying provinces. But even without that law, oil revenues are already flowing throughout the country, including to Sunni-majority areas.
Good! They want us to leave. Now the demonrats can’t bitch at Trump for getting out of there.
It’s a limp-dicked resolution which carries no weight of law in Iraq
Nice.
Their problem should not become -our- problem and such an act would just put the tribes back where they were before the West chose to be so charitable.
