I am aware of the pulling of the apps, but they are following the LAW in China. What part of "they must comply with the local law in every country where they do business" do you fail to comprehend? Android stores pulled all VPNs that were also not registered with the Chinese government as well. 90% of those pulled VPN Apps were back in the Chinese Apple App Store within two weeks of being pulled, after they had registered with the Chinese government.

If Apple’s Chinese Management does not comply with these laws, the penalty in China is not a fine, but imprisonments and can be execution. What would YOU do when faced by Chinese court orders? Thumb your nose and refuse? Somehow I think you’d pull the apps too.
