Over Christmas, several Palestinian leaders repeated the claim Jesus was a Palestinian, but one took it a step further, calling him the first Islamic martyr. Tawfiq Tirawi, a senior Palestinian leader and Fatah Central Committee member, made the claim that Islamic tradition would mean Jesus is rewarded in heaven with 72 virgins, the Jerusalem Post reported -- an argument many Christians would consider blasphemous.

Actually, this claim is so idiotic, that Muslims will consider it blasphemous also.
The cult of islam didn’t exist until it was made up by a savage, murderous pedophile named moHAMed.
An Islam is a religion of peace....oh wait....kaboom
They can argue their case in front of the Ancient of Days once they get there. They will immediately know they backed the wrong horse without a word being uttered.
Jesus to a Muslim is the prophet of Islam second only to Muhammad. Various Old Testament worthies are also considered prophets of Islam.
As for Jesus being a martyr, a Muslim does not mean death on the cross. The claim is that Jesus escaped the cross and ran off to Mecca. The "martyrdom" is the Jews chased him out, not Jesus being killed.

There is no Allah, Islam is a FAKE religion. WHO CARES what some muslim says?
What did the Kwanzaa prophets have to say about this?
and lo, the Kwanzaa prophet did appeared..
First Mohammad lied to claim he was a prophet.
Then Muslims participate in an endless series of lies and blasphemies to further Islam.
He was a descendant of King David. He was Hebrew royalty not palestinian,
In Islamic terms it is neither blasphemous nor idiotic.
Why? Because the ‘Jesus’ in the Quran does and says things that He never actually did and never said - and the Jesus character in the Quran is completely unlike the character of Jesus in the Bible.
Jesus in the Quran says stuff like
3:52 When Jesus found Unbelief on their part He said: “Who will be My helpers to (the work of) Allah?”
3:55 Behold! Allah said: “O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute.”
4:171 O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not “Trinity”: desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth.
5:72 They do blaspheme who say: “Allah is Christ the son of Mary.” But said Christ: “O Children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” Whoever joins other gods with Allah,- Allah will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode.
5:114 Said Jesus the son of Mary: “O Allah our Lord! Send us from heaven a table set (with viands), that there may be for us-for the first and the last of us-a solemn festival and a sign from thee; and provide for our sustenance, for thou art the best Sustainer (of our needs).”
19:19 He said: “Nay, I am only a messenger from thy Lord, (to announce) to thee the gift of a holy son.”
19:30 He said: “I am indeed a servant of Allah: He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet.”
43:63 When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said: “Now have I come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which ye dispute: therefore fear Allah and obey me.”
61:6 And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: “O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad.” But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, “this is evident sorcery!”
Net-net — when a Mohammaden speaks to you about Jesus or you speak to him about the real Jesus, remember you are talking of two completely different characters.
The Jesus of the Quran is NOT Jesus.
So the first point at any stage when you talk to a Mohammaden (and call them Mohammaden) is to tell them what Jesus actually said and did in the Bible and ask why the Quran, written 700 years later has different verses and no one ever mentioned those verses in the preceding 700 years
Mary the mother of Christ -- Miriam in Hebrew -- is said to be the same Miriam as Moses' sister. This would seem to erase over a millennium of Jewish history, but the Muslims also have their stories about Kings David and Solomon.
Definitely some serious confusion there.
However, the story we get in Al-Imran 3:35ff. seems to make it unavoidable that the Qur'an mixes Miriam daughter of Amram (Maryam bint Imran) and Maryam the mother of Jesus.
In Surah 3:35ff, (Al-Imran; Dawood translation) we read, "Remember the words of Imran's wife. 'Lord,' she said, 'I dedicate to your service that which is in my womb. Accept it from me. You alone hear all and now all.' And when she was delivered of the child she said: 'Lord, I have given birth to a daughter'--Allah well knew of what she was delivered: the male is not like the female--'and have called her Mary, Protect her and all her descendants from Satan, the accursed one.' Her Lord graciously accepted her. He made her grow a goodly child and entrusted her to the care of Zacharias."
My opinion is that the quran was written in the 700s and that Mohammad never existed as a real person - just as Robin hood never existed as one particular person. The hadiths are even later
The Quran is a bunch of hearsay about the Old and new testaments and gets a lot wrong -- There is another one about Pharaoh consulting Haman about killing Jews babies in Egypt. Haman lived about 700 years after the Exodus.
“Jesus character in the Quran is completely unlike the character of Jesus in the Bible.”
As I understand it the Jesus in the Quran is returning with the Mahdi, subservient to him of course, and will demand Christians turn to Islam or die.
