In Ohio the enhanced DL requires more documentation to prove citizenship that meets the level of what is needed to get a passport. I always travel on my passport so I opted not to bother with the enhanced DL. Not sure what other states are requiring.

Sounds likely that illegals won’t try to get the enhanced DL then, probably just used forged docs no matter what. Sounds as though forged docs won’t work so well with enhanced.
