I considered seeing this movie, but the very title:
“Parasites”, was a disturbing, disgusting turn off.
I know it’s superficial, but no, I didn’t wish to pay about $15.00 to ‘watch Parasites’. No thank you.

The Korean film industry has progressed a great deal.

Train to Busan was a very good suspense/horror movie. Also very good was The Host

Snowpiercer was a horrible movie w/r/t being a serious movie or serious message movie. The premise is incredibly stupid.

I prefer Korean books to Korean movies. Have you read the best selling Korean cookbook “101 Ways to Wok Your Dog”?

Parasite is a pretty creative dramedy, but it is like most Hollywood movies in that you must subject yourself to moral garbage to extract some entertainment value. I believe this is by design.

Hollywood reacted with more hatred and fury to the launch of Vidangel than even their vitriol against Passion of the Christ. Vidangel offers edited movies and TV shows that give viewer the option to skip profanity, blasphemy, nudity, sex scenes, or other content the viewer (or parents of young viewers) find objectionable. Hollywood went berserk, and they found a liberal judge to basically destroy the service. (Vidangel has pivoted and continues to offer some family-friendly content and services but on a very limited basis.)

Saw ‘The Host’ and really enjoyed it. I’m sure this film is worth a look-see.

I saw this movie last night and I recommend it. You really need to pay attention to the movie to “get it” however. Also, the dialogue is mostly Korean so there will be subtitles.
